ENGL 224 : Survey of British Literature

This course is designed to teach students the basic concepts and context of British literature, starting from the early modern period and following. Students will read major works and analyze their literary and historical significance. In addition to daily reading assignments, students will participate in a variety of writing tasks that ask them to place literary texts within appropriate historical contexts, as well as think critically about literature from the biblical worldview.
